Autonomous Maritime Vehicles

In parallel with the capability gained in Autonomous and Unmanned Aerial vehicles, research and development activities on autonomous maritime vehicles and international collaborations with leading companies in this field have been initiated. As a first step, Light Autonomous Underwater Vehicles development and production has been initiated within the scope of the solution partnership with the French company. These vehicles can be employed for:

For civil purposes:

  • Inspection of fixed marine platforms (oil platform, wind power plant, etc.) located in open seas,
  • Search/rescue and debris inspection,
  • Underwater cable and pipeline inspection,
  • Underwater scientific and archaeological research,
  • In non-invasive unexploded ordnance (UXO) inspection operations;

For military purposes:

  • Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR),
  • Search and Discovery (SAL) / Search and Rescue (SAR),
  • Mine Counter Measure (MCM),
  • Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA)
  • Port Protection
  • Amphibious and Coastal Very Shallow Water missions.

Light Autonomous Underwater Vehicles; are designed to cover large underwater areas in a limited time and with high accuracy, by offering sensitive and real-time tracking and positioningç Besides different mission payloads such as sonars, acoustic sensors, magnetometers, multi-parameter probes, CTD, Camera can be carried on board for civil and military purposes. Vehicle is portable by two people.

Our vehicles, which can easily be launched and collected at sea, and have the features of diving up to 300 m, speed up to 15 knts, and cruising time up to 20 hours.
